Refund policy

We have a 7-day return policy, which means you have 7 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

  • Return shipping: Customers pay all return postage costs.

  • Restocking fee: 15% of the item price will be deducted from approved refunds.

  • Refund or store credit: You may choose a refund or store credit (valid for 3 months).

  • Refund processing: Once we receive and inspect your return, refunds are issued within 14 business days.

To start a return, contact us at info@parrotsupplies.co.za with your order number and reason for return. We’ll send you instructions and an RMA number. Items sent back without prior authorization will not be accepted. You can always contact us for any return questions at info@parrotsupplies.co.za.


Damages and issues

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged, or if you receive the wrong item so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

  • Defective or incorrect cages: Report within 3 business days of delivery, in their original, unassembled packaging. Once a cage has been assembled—even if never used—it is non-returnable.


Exceptions / non-returnable items

Certain types of items cannot be returned or exchanged:

  • Perishable goods (food, pellets, seeds, flowers, plants)

  • Custom or personalized products (special orders)

  • Personal care items (beauty & health products)

  • Hazardous materials (flammable liquids, gases)

  • Sale items and gift cards

  • Opened or assembled birdcages (including perches, trays, feeding bowls) — excluded for hygiene & disease-prevention reasons

Exchanges

The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the original item (per the above) and place a new order once your return is accepted.


Refunds

We’ll notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return and let you know if the refund was approved. Approved refunds (minus shipping and restocking fees) will be issued to your original payment method within 14 business days of inspection. Please allow your bank or credit card provider time to process the refund.
