Hygiene

Hygiene

Squawk, squawk, squawk! Hey there, all you fabulous parrot owners! It's your favourite feathered friend, Marcel, here to talk about a very important topic: hygiene for parrots!

Now, I know that parrots like to be dirty birds and get down and dirty with our toys and food, but it's important for our health and well-being that our cages and play stands are kept clean and fresh. So, listen up and pay attention to some of these tips that I, as a parrot, highly recommend.

First and foremost, let's talk about our humble abodes: our cages. We spend a lot of time in there, and we like to play, eat, and sleep in them. But if they aren't kept clean, we can get sick, and that's no fun for anyone! So, make sure to clean our cages daily. And give it a deep clean at least once a week, preferably more often if we're messy eaters or have a lot of toys.

To start, remove all the toys, perches, and dishes from the cage. Then, use F10 to scrub down the cage bars and bottom, and rinse with plenty of water. Dry everything off with a clean towel, and voila! You've got a clean and happy parrot! Don't forget to replace any dirty or worn-out toys and perches, too, as they can be breeding grounds for bacteria and germs.

And speaking of toys, let's talk about cleaning those, too. We love to chew, shred, and play with our toys, but they can get pretty grubby afterwards. So, wash them every so often with warm water and F10 disinfectant, and rinse well. But make sure to rinse them thoroughly before giving them back to us.

Now, let's move on to our play stands. We love to perch and play on these, but they can get pretty gross if they aren't cleaned regularly. So, make sure to wipe them down with F10 Disinfectant Wipes or disinfectants such as F10SC at least once a week or more often if we like to eat or drink on them.

In conclusion, my fellow parrots, hygiene is essential for our health and happiness! So, keep our cages, toys, and play stands clean and fresh, and we'll be some of the happiest and healthiest birds around. Squawk, squawk, squawk!
